This notice explains what personal data RankRider collects, why, and what you can do about it. RankRider is the trading name of Nathan Pallas, who is the data controller for the information described here.

Who we are

What we collect

When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your website address, and whatever you write in your message.
When you become a client: business details, billing information, and login credentials for services we manage on your behalf.
When you visit this website: nothing. This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party tracking or analytics.

No cookie banner, because there are no cookies. This site does not use Google Analytics or any advertising or profiling technology. There is nothing to consent to.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a free audit — legitimate interests, namely responding to someone who has asked us to.
To deliver services you have bought — performance of a contract.
To keep accounting records — legal obligation. HMRC requires business records to be kept for six years.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted after twelve months. Client records are kept for six years after the end of the relationship, because HMRC requires it, and then deleted.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the business — email hosting, website hosting and accounting software — who process data on our instructions only.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email hello@rankrider.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top.
